Privacy Policy (GDPR)

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Cofoundies takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect through this site, why, on what legal basis, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and what rights you can exercise under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

The controller of the data collected on this site is Cofoundies, whose registered office is at Bastion Tower, 5 Place du Champ de Mars, 1050 Brussels, Belgium.

For any question about your personal data, you can contact us at partners@cofoundies.com.

2. Data collected and purposes

We only collect data that you provide voluntarily through the site's forms:

• Sign-up form (founder, cofounder or Work for Equity): name, email address, phone number, country, profile type and, where applicable, the information you choose to add about your project or expertise.

• Contact form: full name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.

This data is used solely to: process your sign-up or contact request, get back to you, and send you a confirmation or reply email. It is never sold or used for advertising purposes.

3. Legal basis

The processing of your data is based on your consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR), given when you submit a form, and on our legitimate interest in responding to your request and managing the introduction you are seeking (Article 6.1.f).

You may withdraw your consent at any time (see §7), without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Recipients and processors

Your data is accessible to the Cofoundies team and to the technical providers that let us process your request:

• a form-automation service (n8n) that receives and routes your submission;

• a database tool (Notion) where your request is recorded;

• an email service (Microsoft Outlook) that sends confirmation and notification emails.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, such transfers are governed by the appropriate safeguards required by the GDPR (in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses). We do not permit any other sharing of your data with third parties.

5. Retention period

We keep your data for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for: the time needed to process your request, then for the duration of our relationship. If no follow-up occurs, your contact data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, and no later than three years after the last contact.

6. Cookies

This site uses no tracking cookies and no advertising trackers. We only use your browser's local storage to remember your language preference (French or English). This information stays on your device and is not sent to anyone.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and portability. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at partners@cofoundies.com. We will respond within one month.

8. Complaints

If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with the regulation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD / GBA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be — www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect legal or technical changes. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page. We invite you to review it regularly.
